January/Febuary Jr. Pride Development League Date

The dates for the Jan/Feb 2012 Jr. Pride Development Basketball league are:

January: 11th, 18th, 25th
Febuary: 1st, 8th, 15th.

All Games and practice will be on Wednesday nights 6pm-8pm at Hooptown in Smyrna.  Directions

Signups are for Girls in the, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th Grade.

Registration dates:

Saturday, Jan.7th, 2011 from 9am-11am at Hooptown.  Directions

Here's more information about the league.

Details:  This is a player development league.  There will be 75 minutes of drills that will focus on ball handling, shooting, and defense prior to every game.  After the drills, the players will be equally divided in teams and will play games.  Games will be officiated by the coaches/instructors with an emphasis on instruction during the game.


Purpose

The league is to help develop girls that want to learn the fundamentals of basketball and compete. There will be a focus on drills to help work with their fundamentals. Games will be played beginning week one.


What to Expect

- All games will be played on 10ft goals.

- Coaches will be supervising drills, coaching and referring the games.

- Your child will receive very good coaching from an experienced staff.

- There will be an emphasis placed on learning. This will be occurring during the game and in the drills.

-  It will be competitive!

What to bring

- Water Bottle

- Basketball (28.5" for 4th/5th, 27.5" for 3rd) Note: All games will be played with a 28.5 ball.

- Great Attitude to learn!

- Appropriate shorts and shoes (Jersey will be provided)
